Sometimes you just want your photos to say something. If you search the App Store for apps that put text on photos, the results are overwhelming. There are so many apps that claim to do this well that you’ll waste hours installing and trying them, only to find that they are glitchy, un-intuitive, and riddled with in-app-purchases. So here’s the only one you need – Phonto. Its a great app with over 400 fonts to choose from. And these are great looking fonts. Phonto will first ask you to take or choose a photo. It will then give you some simple filter options if you’d like. Next, tap on the photo where you want text, a dialogue box will come up allowing you to enter text, choose the font, color, and size. There are lots of customization opportunities under the style area. Phonto is free with an optional in-app-purchase to disable ads. I gladly bought the IAP just to thank the developers for the perfect text on photos app.
