Google Photos – Unlimited photo and video storage comes to iPhone
For those looking for a totally free option for storing photos in the cloud, Google provides their own Photos service. The Google Photos app resides on your iPhone, iPad, or computer and watches for new photos and videos to appear in your Camera Roll. Then it automatically sends them to Google’s servers where they are analyzed and sorted. This analysis uses a recognition technology that will then let you perform powerful searches. What kind of searches? Google Photos will recognize photos of almost any search term you throw at it. For example, searching for a person by name will bring up all the pictures of them. Searching for “running”, “food”, “cats”, or a place will find pictures of those things. Its kind of creepy, but Google Photos provides the best search capability of any online photo storage apps. And its all free and unlimited.
