“If this then that” is a service that connects many of your online accounts to each other. So, if it’s raining out, IFTTT will tell your internet connected home lights to turn on. That’s just one example, of the various things that the service will do. In fact, IFTTT is so vast, that it can prove to be a bit daunting to start using. So, the company has tried to simplify things a bit by offering three new apps – Do Button, Do Camera, and Do Note, which all aim to accomplish a single IFTTT action. I especially like Do Button because it has a Notification Center widget. So now I can turn my Wemo lights on and off just by accessing my Today Screen and tapping a button. I’ve been waiting for a Wemo widget for a long time, and Do Button now solves this need.
Do Button is just one of our favorite widgets for iPhone and iPad. We’ve collected all of our favorites here. And if you’d like to see more of our top app selections in different categories, just head on over to our Best Apps Series.
