How to Use the JW Library App Part 4: Highlighting
The JW Library app is the main official app developed by Jehovah’s Witnesses for use on the iPad and iPhone. It includes a number of tools for use at the meetings, during personal study, and in the field ministry. The primary tool is, of course, the Bible but JW Library now includes some great study features.
The following video is part of a series which takes you through the JW Library app. Here, Part 4 explains how to use the highlighting features.
Thanks for watching the video. If you have questions, leave them in the comments section below. The JW Library app keeps getting better and better with each update and is definitely the first app you’ll want to download to your new device. Check out the other videos in this series now:
Other great apps by Jehovah’s Witnesses are JW Library Sign Language and JW Language.

Thanks Eric for the highlight video. What I would like to know is how do you get the wide right hand column. Mine is very narrow. As I have vision problems I have to make text larger which also takes up more room. I use my ipad2air in landscape view.

Hello,
Just wondering if there is a way to add a note to a paragraph the way I can in iBooks, I can’t seem to find a way to do this. I must be missing something!
Thanks a lot for all your hard work to make it easier for us all to be prepared for the meetings, and service.

Hi. Thanks for the question. As of right now there is no way to add notes to JW Library. But that feature is supposed to be coming.

Hi. In reply to Manon Goller, while we’re waiting for the annotation feature in JW Library, I find that using the Notes app in slide over is a very good alternative. Just slide over and add or paste your notes and research while studying. Then at the meeting, just you slide over and you will have it all there, no matter how much material you’ve collected. Also, it’s to the side of the publication, so it doesn’t cover it. Of course, if you have split screen it’s even better.
I hope this helps.

Hi! I’m writing because I don’t see a response to the question from Ernestine 1/16 as to how to widen the right margin in JW Library for the Bible & reference pop-ups.

Hello,
Thank you Essesspi so much, for your suggestion of slide over and note. Never even thought of that. And I can do split screen as well so this will work out great! Thanks for thinking of a solution for me and others.

What does the outlined square in side the solid square mean or do?

Hello again I have a mini 4 but still desire to use mini for the ministry. Can’t seem to get the Slide Over feature to work on the mini. If there is a way, please share. For a time I tried bopping between notes & JW Library apps… Frustrating because the WT article starts at the beginning when returning. Uggh! Also is a JW Library note taking feature clearer on the horizon?

Hi. The iPad mini is not one of the supported devices for Slide Over: http://m.imore.com/here-are-all-ipads-compatible-slide-over-split-view-and-picture-picture-ios-9
And as far as JW Library note taking goes, I’ve heard that the brothers are working hard on a feature which supports syncing notes across Apple and Android. So that’s why it’s taking a long time. Just what I’ve heard.

If I’m out mistaken, you had an article on how to download the Watchtower in epub(?)) and convert it where you can have the scriptures pop-up and you can also underline. I may have it wrong, but I hope you remember what facsimile I’m referring too.

I’m a former traveling overseer of 47 years, but no computer expert. However I could at one time import a specific L&M Meeting into PDF Expert, which gave a much broader choice of highlighting. For whatever reason I can no longer do that. Please assist if this is still an option. I just don’t know where I dropped the ball
