Great information. Is there anyway I can email this to a friend?
December 15, 2014 @ 8:28 pm
Hi Peggy, there should be an email button right below the title of this post. Do you see it? Just tap that to email to your friends.

I am highly impressed with the obvious hard work you have put into this site, and look forward to receiving your news letters.
I have been using notes to record stuff on my iphone but now I have downloaded the amazing MyTime and will check out other apps later.
Thank You

I have a question about the new interactive convention program. In iBooks, it is interactive, but no note taking capability, in documents 5, there is no interactive or note taking without a pdf expert upgrade, in notability, there is note taking, but no interactive. Any suggestions? Thank you.
April 16, 2015 @ 8:48 pm
Hi. Great question. I’ve given it a try in Notes Plus, Evernote, Notability, and PDF Expert. And PDF Expert wins hands down!
April 16, 2015 @ 11:23 pm
So is it interactive? Does pdf expert have the recording capability? I love notability for that. I am just excited for the convention. But I will see before I purchase another app.
Thanks for your sharing your experience with us!
April 17, 2015 @ 7:49 am
Hi thanks for the good questions. Yes in PDF Expert, the program is still interactive. Unfortunately PDF Expert does not record audio notes, but it’s great for typed notes. Have you read our PDF Expert review? It’s an excellent app for more than just notes. http://appchasers.com/2013/12/04/best-file-management-reader-annotation-app-for-ipad-pdf-expert-5-review/

Hi. Thanks for the question. Currently we do not have an AppChasers app. But you can visit AppChasers.com on your iPhone or iPad.

Marisa
May 9, 2015 @ 10:09 pm
Hi Marisa, the app you want is JW Library. It will allow you to download the music and videos for offline use. This video shows how to do it: http://appchasers.com/2015/02/07/how-to-use-the-jw-library-app-part-2-publications-music-and-videos/

Hi,
do you know what app I can use for my ipad to open the Program for the regional conventions found on jw.org that contains notes?
May 14, 2015 @ 3:04 pm
Hi. Yes PDF Expert is the best app for the interactive program. Here is a video about how it works: http://appchasers.com/2015/04/25/best-app-for-taking-notes-with-the-2015-interactive-program-for-jehovahs-witnesses/

Brother,
What a great site. I have been using iBooks for years and have been looking for a better way. (I’m not sure why maybe because it is a pain switching back between books?)
I have had documents, PDFs expert, and of course jw library on my iPad for some time. I have seen pretty much all your videos and as a result now also have the jw companion app.
I would love to use 1 app for everything but don’t know which
Now the hard part. Do I wait for jw library to get notes or switch to documents or companion? What do you use these days?
August 12, 2015 @ 3:28 pm
Hi. Thanks for writing in! Yes thankfully there are a lot of choices to organize all of our theocratic documents ? I eagerly await the annotation abilities coming to JW Library too. Currently I use Documents. I’ve unlocked all of the annotation capabilities by buying PDF Expert. Once you do that, Documents becomes fully unlocked. I prefer Documents to PDF Expert because it has better audio functions and the Internet browser built in. That’s pretty much what I use for everything!

Well, I made a simple game based on the Revised New World Translation. It is more to challenge family and friends. But it is available on the iTunes App Store for everyone: https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/bible-mini-quiz/id1017303165?mt=8

Hello, I was wondering if you know of an app that can be used for the secretary of the congregation? .
November 24, 2015 @ 8:18 pm
That’s a great question. What exactly are you looking to do?

Just an addition to Sharon’s question on the interactive convention program. Goodnotes is the app I use for my convention notes and it was awesome with the interactive program. I really like Goodnotes for the ease of annotations, I like to handwrite instead of type, is so user friendly for that. Also, I like to take a picture of the speaker and any demos and put them on my page, I can remember faces…but any photos I take stays only on my notes and doesn’t go into my Photos.
January 13, 2016 @ 9:15 am
Those are some great tips! Thank you for posting them!

How do I load a previous months magazine on workflow?
February 25, 2016 @ 12:31 pm
Using your recommendations, I converted an ePub to a pdf and opened the file in Pdf Expert. One problem regarding the references. It is hard to find them since the program does not go directly to the reference. I have been creating a bookmark for each one. Takes a little more time. Any suggestions?
February 26, 2016 @ 9:49 am
Yes I have seen that problem with workbooks too. Which document are you converting?

Is there a way to download MP3 of the Bible on my iPad without using iTunes on the computer?
Thanks!
March 2, 2016 @ 3:41 pm
Yes you should be able to download it using the app Documents by Readdle. Here is a tutorial: http://appchasers.com/2013/12/12/video-how-to-get-organized-for-the-meetings-and-field-ministry-with-documents-for-readdle/

I cannot find the video downloaded app described in the video showing how to download from JW Broadcasting to this app. Has anyone else had difficulty finding this particular app?
June 23, 2016 @ 2:30 pm
Thank you for the video on using NOTABILITY at the convention! I have a question about NOTABILITY and using the interactive regional convention program. How do you add more not pages? I could only see the actual page on the interactive program, but my notes are usually much more extensive than one page. Thanks for your help! Hopefully will receive this information before the convention! 🙂
June 24, 2016 @ 11:09 pm
Yes. You can add more pages in notability. On the iPad all you need to do is tap the thumbnail view in the upper right corner. Then tap the thumbnail of the page that you would like to add a note before or after. Then you will get a down arrow at the lower left corner of that thumbnail. Tap on that. And select add a page.

April 16, 2017 @ 10:39 am
good morning, I love taking notes at our conventions/assemblies and on most talks I will record them. I have been using Evernote, which I like. I was hoping to find an app that would not charge the monthly fee to use it. Once Evernote increased their prices, I felt they were too high. Any suggestions?
April 16, 2017 @ 2:38 pm
Hi. Thanks so much for the question. The app to use is Notability. You can read our full review here: http://appchasers.com/2014/08/18/video-how-to-use-notability-to-take-great-notes-on-ipad/

August 16, 2017 @ 2:40 pm
Hi. I think the brothers who made the iSilo WTLib stopped supporting it after the 2013 version.

If this comment is viewed as spam feel free to delete it but I’ve just released a handy app that could be worth adding to the list – it is a territory map viewer called Ministry Maps.
