Thanks for the videos. Do you know if we will be able to do side by side apps?

Hi, that capability is inside iOS 8. But Apple hasn’t unlocked it yet. I hope they do soon!

Even in iOS7, there is that capability but you have to jailbreak your device which most do not want to do thereby losing some security features, etc. Apple tech’s response is that the chips used were not quite enough, however, possibly the iPhone6 or 6+ with a beefier chipset might handle it at some future point but there are no guarantees. On a personal basis, it just does not make much difference to me as either swiping open apps or using the home button is fine but the new phone does have a ‘touch’ home botton. I had a Surface Pro where I could do that but as a jw, just did not have any real advantages. Clicking or swiping them works fine on Apple mobile products.

Thanks for all of your excellent videos. I just installed iOS8 on my iPad Air. Now the songbook in JW Library won’t load. The numbers show, but when pressed nothing appears unless it’s in the ‘words only’ view. All of the other publications work well. Have you experience the same thing? I deleted and reinstalled the app, but it didn’t matter. I wonder if it’s just that the app still needs to be updated. Thanks again for being so helpful.

Hi Jim, thanks for your comment. I haven’t seen that problem. Have you tried rebooting your iPad? That often solves glitches like this. Especially after installing new software. Here is a video of how to do it on iPhone (iPad is the same): http://youtu.be/Nbx_UMosemU

Hi, others are experiencing the same problem with the JW Library App. If you turn your iPad to the portrait mode, the song notes will show. You can then turn it back to landscape mode. You will have to do this for each song. Also, maps are missing for the Appendix B.
I just needs an update for the iOS 8.

Good point Debbie. Thanks for posting. I did notice that about the Appendix graphics. Let’s hope we get an update soon
