JW Language – The Best iPhone and iPad app for teaching the Bible in a foreign language
Well, we now have another amazing app provided by JW.org! This time it comes in the form of a language learning tool called JW Language. More than just a tool to memorize phrases, JW language is built to enhance our preaching and teaching skills. It does so through a wonderful audio/visual environment focused on bringing praise to Jehovah. The video below will show you how to use JW Language to get the most out of your ministry and meetings. The video will cover these topics:
- Getting started using the app by downloading primary and learning languages
- An overview of the various sections
- How the included videos work
- Listening to the recordings of native speakers
- Favoriting phrases
- Using the flash card feature
- Navigate the app using the slide out menu
- Find phrases using the search feature
- Switching between and deleting learning languages
- Changing your primary language of the app interface
Please make sure you also visit http://www.jw.org/en/online-help/jw-language/ for the Official Help page of the app. Again, this is not an official video, just how I use the app personally. Always refer to JW.org for official documentation.

Hi,
Unfortunately, I’m having the same problem as Jean. My app SEEMS to work fine but when it’s time to click the play button and hear the audio, there is no sound. I don’t have the mute switches on and I have an iPad iOS 7. Any suggestions?

I also cannot hear any sound, tried on my iPad ios 7.1. I uninstalled the app, upgraded to iOS 8, then reinstalled the app and still no audio. Audio in other apps, videos, music is fine. This would be a great app if I could just get the audio to work

Friends, it seems today’s update 1.0.4 addresses this problem.

I installed 1.0.4 release because I was having the sound problem. Then the sound problem was fixed. After a couple of days it stopped working again and now I cannot hear the sound again. I uninstalled the app and re-installed it and I still have this problem. To be clear, this issue is not a mistake changing the settings on my device … all of my other apps play sound and work ok. I am really excited about using this app, and it is my sincere hope that this problem can be fixed. Thanks to all our dear friends who are working hard to support this app, it has many nice features and will be very useful!
