Microsoft has been upping their game lately. While still desperately begging developers to create apps for their Windows mobile App Market, Microsoft knows all the great developers are actively supporting Apple’s iOS. Microsoft’s solution to this problem? Buy great apps that are already available on the iTunes App Store and rebrand them. Acompli was one of those apps that Microsoft purchased and now has released as renamed as Outlook. And it’s a great email app. Like our current favorite, Mailbox, Outlooks allows swiping to schedule or achieve emails. But it also incorporates a calendar for quickly adding events from emails and sharing your availability with friends. Perhaps the coolest feature is the Focused inbox that shows you your most important emails, and it works pretty well. Searching for older email works great too. Microsoft really has a winner on its hands with Outlook.
