Knowing a song’s lyrics can add much more feeling to the tune. Unfortunately, it’s not always easy to understand what the vocalist is saying. That’s where Musixmatch steps in. The service claims to house the largest collection of official song lyrics. Launch the app and whatever song is currently playing in your Apple Music app will be displayed automatically. But that’s not all! Musixmatch can also use your iPhone microphone to identify songs playing around you and offer up lyrics. The explore feature goes further by letting users search for any song in the library of lyrics. But my favorite part is the ability to follow along with the song that’s currently playing on my iPhone.

The real advantage of Musixmatch is that it has a fantastic widget. Just pull down the Today Screen and you’ll see the song’s lyrics auto-scrolling. The included Apple Watch app will also show you the lyrics for the song now playing. Or it will identify music playing around you and show you their lyrics.
